Job Description
- Conduct thorough and detailed training on a range of different topics with guard force
- Select and conduct appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. real life scenarios and simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, orientation classes)
- Keep accurate records and logs of all training conducted
- Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
- Use experience and knowledge and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills
- Gather feedback from Training Manager and your trainees after each educational session
- Partner with Client and liaise with your leaders to accomplish any last minute requirements
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
- Manage and maintain local IC training office and equipment
- Research and recommend new training methods when needed
- Be prepared to help with post coverages when the need arises
- Be available to work differing hours and shifts based on client/officer needs
Qualifications:
- Communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally, in writing, and over various communications systems
- Ability to greet and deal tactfully with everyone on site
- Exercise of good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and ability to render satisfactory performance through knowledge of his/her position responsibilities
- Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress; such as fire emergencies, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations
- Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations
- Ability to interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed written order
