About the role

Develop, communicate and discuss recommendations, suggestions, ideas and proposals for new or creative special events, promotions, giveaways and tournaments.  Consider the identified target markets for potential locations when considering off-property events, as necessary.   Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to…   Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.   Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.          Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.                                                               ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Will be designated as the Bingo Supervisor during Promotional Bingo sessions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all Resort departments to assure the constant flow information
  • Accurately complete a variety of announcements, flyers, procedures, rules, reports, logs and forms as requested by the Promotions Director.
  • Lead, supervise and oversee each planned step or activity associated with the planning, organization and implementation of all approved gaming and/or slot tournaments.
  • Ensure compliance and proper coordination with the Choctaw Gaming Commission concerning the government regulations, Title 31 requirements and other tribal, state, federal and gaming regulatory standards during all gaming and/or slot tournaments.
  • Host, supervise and oversee each assigned function associated with the planning, organization and implementation of all property and off property special promotions, drawings and events. Assist in recruiting volunteers, leaders and staff members necessary to perform identified actions as required.
  • Delegate necessary tasks and duties to the other staff as needed.
  • Assist in training other co-workers and new Associates in these duties.
  • Work proficiently without direct supervision as needed.
  • Regularly check and meet the assigned events calendar or schedule necessary to stay informed and up-to-date on changes to planned events or new events.
  • Ensure that the locations and events utilized by the Promotions staff remain safe through the training, mentoring and following of proper schedules, functions, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve Guest or Associate disputes, complaints and issues associated with the special promotions, special events, concerts and approved tournaments. Review situations with the appropriate department or individual and ensure that the resolution is within the established policies and procedures for the Resort.  Correct the problems or oversights following company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development, coordination and actual performance of all promotions and special events.
  • Assist in arranging and coordinating the necessary marketing, signage, facilities, services and extra personnel.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
