Duties and Role:

Support implementation of central and local Projects and Operations and Exercise activity, in regard to ICT infrastructure (Cable, Audio/Video, CIS Infrastructure)

Duties include:

• Assist and supervises the installation, operation and maintenance of the assigned ICT infrastructure (Cable & CIS Infrastructure)
• Ensures the documentation of the design and configuration of assigned ICT infrastructure (Cable & CIS Infrastructure).
• Monitors and ensure IT facility's environmental parameter are maintained at the correct level
• Monitors and documents the physical access to facilities in coordination with the local security office.
• Implements procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of ICT Cable infrastructure and provides reports as required.
• Provides technical support to the WAN network including VTC network
• Provides technical support to the VoIP infrastructure and end-user equipment
• Provides hypercare incident support to end users via incidents raised via BMC Remedy
• Provides hypercare user request support to end user via service requests raised via BMC Remedy

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience
• In-depth knowledge of copper and fibre cable infrastructure technology, terminology and related cable infrastructure test equipment
• General knowledge in LAN and WAN architecture and network switching/routing technologies.
• Experience working with MS Office tools (word/ excel)
• Experience working with BMC Remedy (ITSM)
• Experience of working in tight deadlines
