Staff Data Scientist

We’re looking for an experienced person to join Procore’s growing Data Science team within Data Engineering and Analytics (part of our Data, Technology, and Security organization). This is an exciting opportunity to help us design, develop, and monitor predictive and prescriptive models that help our business stakeholders make sense of their data and execute on it. End-users of your models will be from a large portion of the Procore business - subject matter experts, decision-makers, and analysts alike - so your work will have the potential to have a big impact on Procore’s efficient growth.

This position has the opportunity to be located in any of our US offices, or permanently remote within the US. 

What you’ll do:

• Work with a diverse set of stakeholders to understand the business requirements and develop and deploy impactful ML models

• Apply common ML frameworks and best practices to drive maximum business outcome

• Provide technical leadership for efforts around tooling and infrastructure that enable teams to complete and maintain AI projects efficiently

• Coach and mentor junior data scientists on the team; lead code reviews, design, and best practices

• Participate in the evolution of Data Science at Procore

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of relevant Data Science experience (6 years with master's or 3 years with PhD)

• Hands on experience developing and managing predictive models

• Real world experience in deploying predictive models at scale to production

• Experienced in Python

• Experienced in SQL

• Experienced in Statistics

• Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate rigorous mathematical and statistical concepts in simple terms

• Experience in SaaS is preferred

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $156,400-$215,050. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
