We are looking for a Systems Software Engineer to join our team to support IFMC Project Office, AMD Mission Command Product Office, FAAD C2.

The successful candidate will assist in the architecture, requirements, development, and execution of software analysis tools for the FAAD C2 program. Their background in software development and/or systems engineering will assist in the creation of analysis tools for Army Air and Missile Defense systems with a focus on Mission Command systems. The selected candidate will also use their expertise to support the evaluation of algorithms, requirements, software artifacts, and other program-related information to assist government customers.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Working with contractors, government civilians, and system operators.
• Developing services and components that support data analysis of tactical systems.
• Developing prototypes to support new and emerging capabilities.
• Developing new or improved algorithms and simulations.
• Performing data analysis of simulation and field data from tactical systems
• Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum you should have:

• US Citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance.
• A bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Residency in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
• Proficiency in software development with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or C# or system engineering processes and techniques.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the year.
• A team player attitude and the ability to work in a small group under the direction of a customer.
• Effective communication skills with various levels of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team player.
• A willingness to exceed customer expectations.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, embedded software, real-time software, near real-time software, or distributed software of stakeholders to ensure that software can meet the needs of the intended users.

You will be highly desirable if you have:

• Software engineering experience in support of DoD programs.
• Experience with tactical command and control systems, weapon systems, or sensor systems software.
• Experience with microservice architecture, especially in large systems.
• Experience with C-RAM, FAAD C2, or C-UAS programs.

Estimated Salary Range:

• Junior: $85,000 - $100,000
• Intermediate: $115,000 - $135,000
• Senior: $140,000 - $165,000

The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
