What you will be doing as an Aviation Interior Cabinet Maker:

You can expect to craft cabinets of Textron Aviation aircraft while supporting the installation, refurbishment or modification of various interiors alongside other maintenance tasks.

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Woodwork and Carpentry: Craft wooden cabinets by cutting, shaping, and assembling material. You’ll then mix and spray clear coats, paints, and stains to the wood followed by sanding and polishing to achieve high gloss finishes.
  • Interior Installations and Modifications: Perform installations, adjustments, and various modifications on Textron Aviation aircraft upholstery, furniture, and accessories based on aircraft orders, product inspection records, engineering plans, and planning.
  • Layout and Installation Support: Investigate and support layout requirements for unique or first-time interior installations.
  • Quality Compliance: Ensure work is done efficiently and economically while keeping installations, product inspection records, and parts tagging compliant with Quality Control.
  • Tool Usage: Use a variety of hand and power tools, sanders, table saws, routers and other basic measuring instruments.

 

What you need to be successful:

           A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.

           A knowledge of blueprints, simple arithmetic, and simple measuring devices is required.

           Experience in interior installation, refurbishment, wood working, upholstery, sewing, or modification is required

           Experience in aircraft modification and maintenance is required.
