Job Overview:

We are a fast-paced urology practice seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical receptionist to join our team. Candidate must be a quick learner, use good judgment, and have great customer service skills. In this role, you will assist with patient check-in/out, insurance verification, patient scheduling and other duties for the office. Must be available Monday through Friday. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for acquiring critical demographic, financial, medical and insurance information and signed forms from patients in a professional, courteous, caring and compassionate atmosphere.
• Ensure patients are greeted and registered in a timely manner
• Ensure all patients are registered in the system prior to receiving service
• Listens to patients and takes actions to appropriately and successfully address patient concerns
• Obtain the necessary demographic, financial and medical insurance information
• Obtains patient’s and/or responsible party’s signatures on required registration form and provides required regulatory brochures as needed to patients and/or responsible party

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One-year customer service experience required
• Healthcare registration or admitting experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with health care billing and authorization preferred
