Summary

This is a PRN position and there are no guaranteed hours. PRN means "as needed" or "when necessary". The individual hired for this position will drive a single vehicle over 26,001 pounds GVWR or a combination vehicle over 26,001 pounds GVWR or any position requiring endorsements such as passenger or hazardous materials.

Job Description

Combines motor vehicle handling ability and communication skills. Medical information sensitivity and confidentiality are a must, and are practiced at all times. Transports safely and as scheduled. Assures that all support equipment are well maintained and in good operating condition. Sets up equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and Sanford policy. Maintains appropriate records per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and Sanford required reports. Aware and communicates scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements. Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.

Must have an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance requirements and endorsements. Must maintain all required endorsements. If incumbent does not hold required endorsements, must obtain with six months of employment.

Must have a Class A Commercial Drivers License, and full compliance with DOT regulations required along with maintain a valid DOT medical certification card.

Must pass a Federal background check with Transportation Security Administration.
