About the role

Heritage Toyota is hiring a Service Advisor! The goal of the Customer Service Advisor/Writer is to assist our customers by building loyalty and trust while creating an overall positive experience when they bring their vehicles to our shop. Our Toyota Service team needs someone who possesses great communication skills, enjoys interacting with people, and strives for customer satisfaction. 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers coming into the service department and determine the nature of customers request.
  • Explain company policies, procedures, products, services, etc.
  • Answer a variety of questions related to car repairs and servicing.
  • Explain labor and parts estimates; investigate customer concerns.
  • Track progress on customers vehicles, and keep customers apprised.
  • Direct customers to cashier, and assist with cashier duties as needed.
  • Follow up with customers after work is done to ensure satisfaction.
  • Use of ADP/CDK software, Tis, Service Edge, Dealer Daily and iPad to complete tasks.
  • Prepare repair orders and customer bill, ensuring that final charges correlate to quotes.
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with processing warranty claims.
  • Maintain all required logs and records of service department activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), with some college-level training desirable. 
  • One to three years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
  • Fundamental computer and administrative/clerical skills.
  • Excellent customer relations skills, including basic sales skills.
  • General technical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stretch and stand over, under and next to all repair vehicles.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high volume environment; experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
