<p><strong>Role Description:</strong></p>
<p>FareHarbor is looking for a full time, on-site Senior DevOps engineer to join our infrastructure team in Amsterdam. We’re a quickly growing company with a robust product that tens of thousands of people rely on to run their businesses every day. With our rapid growth, we face interesting engineering challenges that are critical to keeping the tours and activities industry running.</p>
<p><strong>What you will do: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage, improve and monitor our various clusters and services on AWS</li>
<li>Maintain and support the release and deployment processes and toolset</li>
<li>Manage network and application monitoring tools</li>
<li>Help troubleshoot latencies at the hardware, software, or network level and identify root cause </li>
<li>Troubleshoot application alerts from monitoring tools and follow necessary playbook steps to resolve or escalate appropriately</li>
<li>Work directly with onsite and distributed DevOps, Application Development, Product and QA teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues</li>
<li>Report directly to Head of Infrastructure</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 6 years of working experience in Linux/Unix (Bash/Zsh) environment, server administration, cloud/online service operations and production codebase</li>
<li>Be proficient with at least one - Python, Ruby, Go, Scala, Java or other similar high-level programming languages </li>
<li>Hands on experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, TeamCity, Jenkins etc</li>
<li>Experience with application performance monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, NewRelic, Zabbix, AppDynamics</li>
<li>Experience using configuration management and deployment tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt </li>
<li>Hands on experience with cloud infrastructure management and provisioning like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation </li>
<li>Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Graylog, Kibana, ELK stack, Loggly, Datadog, SumoLogic, Sentry </li>
<li>Experience with Container Orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS EKS</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><br/></strong><strong>Other Preferred Skills and Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with Elasticsearch and Redis</li>
<li>Experience in Systems Engineering and Administration with an emphasis on security</li>
<li>Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL ideally)</li>
<li>Be open to agile development methodologies</li>
</ul>
