About the role

Overview

Assist patients in accessing and using the patient portal while identifying, researching and resolving patient questions and inquires.

Responsibilities

  • Processes accurately and timely electronic and verbal requests for account access by meeting one-on-one, by telephone or use of EPIC.
  • Analyzes incoming account requests verifying patient information and access status.
  • Analyzes customer complaints and concerns providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the limits of the application and policies
  • Identifies and assesses customers’ needs including computer technical support.
  • Provides requested medical records
  • Develops / modifies materials to assist patients in using the portal
  • Acts as an ambassador for the portal: internally and externally attending health fairs or visiting patient waiting rooms to assist patients with setting up their portal.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • Associate degree with 1 year of applicable experience required.
    • Previous medical or clinical background preferred.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology required.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate in person and over the telephone; verbal and written proficiency in the English language required.
    • Computer skills required including MS Excel and Word. Customer service experience required.
