The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead, The ideal candidate must have a strong background in building, deploying, and optimizing platforms within Kubernetes or OpenStack environments. This is a full-time, permanent position for someone who is passionate about hands-on development and leading teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications in the cloud. You will be responsible for developing, launching, maintaining, and optimizing applications within Kubernetes, ensuring their efficiency and scalability. As a key technical leader, you'll also mentor your team in best practices for cloud-native development while actively working alongside them to implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive software development strategy for IaaS platforms, focusing on containers, cluster management, Kubernetes, and OpenStack. Ensure security, optimization, and performance throughout the lifecycle.

Mentorship & Technical Excellence: Lead by example, mentoring engineers and driving best practices in software development. Cultivate a culture of innovation, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.

Operational Support: Take ownership of on-call responsibilities and provide operational support to ensure platform stability and resilience.

Innovation: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas to enhance platform capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

Experience:

Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing teams, demonstrating strong leadership, and team-building skills.

Technical Expertise: 10+ years in IaaS/PaaS software development, with a specialization in Kubernetes cluster management on cloud platforms.

Open Source: 4+ years of hands-on experience with open-source frameworks, contributing to and leveraging the latest in cloud-native technologies.

Cloud Environments: 5+ years of experience working with one of the major public and private cloud providers (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP).

Develop, Launch, Maintain, and Optimize applications within Kubernetes: Strong in depth knowledge on k8s architecture and orchestration.

Technical Skills

Multi-Cluster Networking: Expertise in multi-cluster networking using service mesh technologies such as Istio, Consul, or Envoy.

Observability: Proficiency with metrics, observability, and operational frameworks like Grafana and Prometheus.

Containerization: In-depth understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Rancher).

Advanced Technologies: Familiarity with advanced cloud-native tools such as ArgoCD, KubeVirt, and Cluster API (CAPI).

Linux Systems: Deep expertise in Linux internals, command-line utilities, and systems administration.

CI/CD & Automation: Proven experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes using GitOps and ArgoCD.

Software Development: Strong foundation in software engineering, including experience with programming languages like Go, Python, or Java.

Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8s): Extensive experience managing and deploying applications within Kubernetes.

Security: Hands-on experience with security protocols (Active Directory, SAML, OAuth) and DevOps methodologies.

Cloud Architecture & Scripting: Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and shell scripting.

Data Center Experience: Experience working in data center environments, with a focus on Openstack platform and layer 3 and 7 networking services.

Optimization & Monitoring: Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers,
