Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications makes for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply.

Required:

  • Extensive leadership experience in identity management, authentication, authorization, and security architecture, including a proven track record of leading large, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in identity management, authentication, authorization, and security architecture, including technologies like OAuth, SAML, OIDC, MFA, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and lead organizations through complex architectural transformations.
  • Experience designing scalable and resilient consumer identity and access management (CIAM) solutions for enterprise applications
  • A recognized thought leader in identity and security space, with a demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and execute with a bias for action.
  • Skilled at balancing long-term security and identity strategies with short-term business priorities, enabling pragmatic and sustainable solutions.
  • Proven ability to design secure, fault-tolerant, and compliance-driven identity systems iteratively and evolutionarily.
  • Committed to implementing best practices in security, compliance, and data protection across the organization.
  • Strong cloud expertise with hands-on experience in cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), particularly in security and IAM services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate security and identity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaborator, able to influence and build productive relationships across engineering, security, product, and business teams.
  • Passionate about enabling other developers and security professionals through leadership, mentoring, and driving efficient, well-informed decision-making.
  • Experienced in leading teams to tackle highly complex identity and security challenges, delivering innovative and impactful solutions.
  • Skilled at articulating and sharing security and identity platform vision with customers and synthesizing their business needs to influence strategy and vision.
