• Base Salary Level B/C $118,390 p.a. - $167,221 p.a. + 17% superannuation (to a total package of $138,516 p.a - $195,648 p.a).

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer/Senior Lecturer  (Veterinary Epidemiology and Biostatistics) who will contribute to providing excellent teaching in veterinary epidemiology, biostatistics and evidence-based practice in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program in the Sydney School of Veterinary Science, including participation in the re-design of relevant aspects of the DVM curriculum. The appointee may be involved in teaching aspects of the Faculty’s Veterinary Biology and Veterinary Bioscience programs, and be involved in postgraduate training in higher degrees by research. The appointee will advance knowledge in veterinary epidemiology, biosecurity?, evidence-based practice and biostatistics through an active research program, supervision of HDR students, active involvement in the School’s research program, and other scholarly activities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in veterinary epidemiology, evidence-based practice and biostatistics

• contribute to the enhancement of the DVM curriculum for students to be equipped with day one competencies

• supervise and mentor HDR students in conducting research projects

• apply for competitive research grants and conduct research in veterinary epidemiology and biostatistics

• publish research findings in reputable journals and present at national and international conferences

• collaborate with colleagues within the school and across disciplines

• engage with the wider academic and professional community to promote the field of veterinary epidemiology and biostatistics.
