About the role

Senior Associate Director, Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach

The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business seeks a self-motivated, high-energy admissions professional to serve as Senior Associate Director, Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach, with a functional emphasis on strategy, marketing, communications, and early outreach.

As the university’s largest enrolled undergraduate degree program, Marshall advances its academic mission through the intentional enrollment of talented, engaged, and globally minded students. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach serves as a strategic steward of Marshall’s undergraduate enrollment, integrating student-centered recruitment with data-informed enrollment management in close partnership with USC’s Enrollment Services Division.

This senior role is designed for a deep generalist admissions leader who brings strong college counseling instincts, analytical judgment, and systems fluency, while coordinating marketing, communications, and early outreach initiatives that inform student decision-making and shape the entering class.

About the Office

The Marshall School of Business Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach, in partnership with USC’s Enrollment Services Division, delivers comprehensive recruitment and outreach services for the Accounting and Business Administration degree programs. All formal admissions decisions are coordinated and communicated by USC’s Enrollment Services Division.

Marshall receives more than 30,000 undergraduate inquiries and 16,000 applications annually, enrolling first-year and transfer students from diverse educational pathways. The office is recognized for its innovative, student-centered approach, including the launch of a Marshall Early Decision pilot, reflecting a commitment to transparency, access, and intentional enrollment planning.

Position Overview

The Senior Associate Director is a senior member of the Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach leadership team, contributing broadly across recruitment, outreach, and enrollment strategy while providing functional coordination of marketing, communications, and early outreach initiatives.

The Senior Associate Director engages directly with prospective students, families, and counselors; supports recruitment across first-year, transfer, and continuing student populations, and participates in shared office coverage during peak cycles. The role is fully embedded within a generalist admissions model and works in close partnership with the Assistant Dean to shape recruitment strategy, enrollment priorities, and program-level initiatives aligned with Marshall’s academic mission.

In collaboration with faculty leadership and USC Enrollment Services, the Senior Associate Director contributes to program-specific applicant evaluation, selection processes, and enrollment planning for Marshall-administered and specialized undergraduate programs. Marketing, communications, and program production are approached as strategic levers to inform student choice, strengthen yield, and align enrollment outcomes with Marshall’s academic priorities.

The ideal candidate should possess sound judgment, adaptability, and a collaborative approach within a fast-paced, cycle-driven environment, as well as accountability for outcomes and a willingness to flex across responsibilities as institutional priorities evolve.
