Jefferson Health is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Emergency Medicine Physician for a faculty position at the Thompson Building campus. This role combines direct patient care with teaching responsibilities, contributing to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows in a high-acuity, urban academic medical environment.Job Description
- Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population.
- Supervise and instruct residents and medical students in the Emergency Department.
- Participate in educational conferences, curriculum development, and simulation-based training.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance clinical education and patient safety initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and/or research initiatives within the department.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to academic excellence and patient-centered care.
