Implant Rebuild Maintenance Technician - Days 1

Job Summary:
- The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in Chandler Fab Implant area.
- The tasks include, but are not limited to, rebuild and repair of major subsystem assemblies, troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be required to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.
- The position requires working compressed shifts, days, or nights.
Key Challenges:
- Able to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and sustain equipment with minimal direction.
- Able to use root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets.
- Able to diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans as needed.
Cross-functional aspects:
- Able to work in a cross-functional team as needed, including associates.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or mechanical discipline is preferred, but not required. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
- The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Experience working in a clean room environment and the ability to follow all proper protocols.
- Preferred to be 5S certified, but knowledge of the program is required.
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Must be able to successfully pass a fit test and be able to wear a respirator when required
