About the role

Engineering Physicist, Junior

The Opportunity:

Join an energetic team whose day-to-day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to their clients and leadership. Your technical skills and determination are needed to develop the cutting-edge technology used to support the warfighter and maintain national security. As an engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to modeling and assessing foreign threat radars, antennas, and communication systems. We’re looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to help perform detailed analyses, including the evaluation of the detectability of airborne systems and survivability analyses of systems and platforms to be deployed in future combat scenarios. We’re looking for lifelong learners and motivated, independent thinkers who can contribute to a fast-paced team environment focused on client delivery. This is an opportunity to hone your technical abilities on significant and technical problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

Our modeling and simulation team performs a variety of classified analyses of future weapon and platform concepts for DoD clients. We develop the detailed models and simulations as required by those analyses. That’s why we need you, a physicist or mathematician, with an interest in RF systems, radar signal processing, antenna modeling, and operational approach assessments. While working with a diverse-experienced team, you’ll perform modeling tasks, radar signal processing code development, and the refinement of models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. You’ll directly impact the DoD’s mission by helping determine what tactics, techniques, and procedures improve survivability and decrease vulnerability against foreign threat systems as well as helping make an informed decision for the acquisition of future systems.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • Experience with coding in MATLAB, C, C++, FORTRAN, or Python

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with engineering and mathematics

  • Experience with modeling and simulation

  • Experience with Linux

  • Knowledge of radar principles for antennas, signal processing, and track filters

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Secret clearance

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
