Senior Software Engineer Drupal (US-remote)

The Team

Our Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will be a key driver to make this happen.

This role

The Senior Drupal Software Developer will include developing content management controlled by Drupal, User Interface Code on a major program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

The work affects the quality and cost of care for Medicare and Medicaid patients through the Quality Payment Program. You will be involved in a highly successful team that has a long track record of meeting deadlines and delivering quality. We work on Eastern time and the candidate must be willing to start work no later than 10:00 AM Eastern time regardless of the time zone they live in. The must also participate in all meetings even if they start before 10:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

• The work requires an extensive background investigation which equates to Public Trust.
• The position is remote however we work East Coast hours and meetings may start as early as 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Core hours also apply.
• Some travel may be required for in-person Program Increment Planning events.
• Excellent, Senior Level Drupal Programming Skills
• React Programming Skills
• Node.js programming skills
• Experience with Rest API use.
• Unit Testing
• Github experience
• JIRA and Confluence use.
• Must attend Scrum Ceremonies and Test Meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years’ experience in Software Development
• 3+ years of experience working in Drupal
• 2+ years React Experience
• 2+ years Node, JS/TS experience
• 1 + years’ experience testing microservice architecture
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
• Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Splunk
• Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Codebuild or GitHub actions
• Experience with test runners and assertion libraries like Jest, Mocha + Chai etc.
• Testing REST APIs, comfortable using tools like Postman or Insomnia
• Working knowledge of Git
• Basic SQL knowledge
• UI testing with tools like Cypress or Playwright
• Experience working on a project using the Scaled Agile Framework.
• Experience on a software development team building modern software products.
• Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
