Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Multiple Sites in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for all visitors and staff. Your routine patrols and visible presence support a secure environment, while your commitment to outstanding customer service and communication helps foster a positive atmosphere. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized entry.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders as needed to address security-related situations and provide support during emergencies.
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions, information, and general assistance as required.

Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
