You’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational technology platforms that power our data and application integration strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive implementation and ensure operational excellence across enterprise systems like Confluent Kafka, Astronomer Airflow, and Azure API Management (APIM).

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform health

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with development, data science, and cybersecurity teams to deliver scalable, self-service platforms
  • Create documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and tutorials
  • Serve as the subject matter expert, resolving complex platform issues

Security & Governance

  • Embed DevSecOps principles throughout the platform lifecycle
  • Manage authentication, authorization, and encryption policies
  • Ensure compliance with Everest’s data governance and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Hands-on experience managing Confluent Kafka clusters in production
  • Strong background in Apache Airflow (preferably Astronomer)
  • Proven expertise with Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS)
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Key Strengths:

  • Platform Mastery: You know Kafka, Airflow, and APIM inside and out, and you apply best practices for security, governance, and scalability
  • Cloud-Native Thinking: You leverage Azure and Kubernetes to build resilient, automated infrastructure
  • DevOps Mindset: You automate everything—from deployments to monitoring—and build robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Leadership & Mentorship: You elevate your team, set technical standards, and foster a culture of ownership

  • Clear Communication: You translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for cross-functional teams
