Position Summary
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for developing and executing supply plans via purchase orders for their portfolio of items based on forecasted demand, actual orders, availability inventory, and lead times.  This position is key to ensuring finished goods are available to fulfill customer demand while maintaining inventory targets and minimizing inventory waste and extra costs. Responsibilities-  Generate and maintain balanced supply plans- Submit purchase order requests to vendors utilizing demand inputs and collaborating cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and sales departments to manage and meet company/global demand. - Maintain capacity plans, report and communicate constraints, and recovery outlooks to ensure service levels are met.- Review and analyze demand inputs and MoM impact changes to DOS on the assigned portfolio, working with corresponding teams to solve any shortage scenarios that occur.- Lead weekly meetings for supply reviews for managed areas of business.- Identify ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas of business. Requirements- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.  Experience working with international customers and vendors, including international logistics, is preferred.- Deep understanding of inventory safety and cycle stocks and how to optimize inventory targets across service, working capital, and cost goals.- Experience and working knowledge in Sales & Operations Planning- Practical experience or strong working knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, Rouch cut capacity planning, and finite capacity planning best practices- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.- Excellent Excel skills and use of Excel in supply planning and capacity planning- SAP/ERP experience a plus.- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word and PowerPoint)This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this position.
