The Position: We are looking for a Per-Diem Foster Care Social Worker, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Foster Care Social Worker is responsible for ensuring safety and welfare of children, youth, and Non-Minor Dependents on their caseload. They are a resource to their caseload, providing treatment assessment and planning. They support those they serve while providing support and monitoring of Resource Families.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we’re offering is $31.00- $35.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited or state approved graduate school that includes, but is not limited to, social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, education with an emphasis on counseling, or an area that qualifies for licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
- In addition to the degree specifications listed above all of the following coursework and field practice or experience shall be required of all new hires effective January 1, 1993: (A) At least three semester units of field practice at the master's degree level, or six months’ full-time equivalent experience in a public or private social service agency setting. (B) At least nine semester units of coursework related to children and families, or, within the first year of employment, experience in working with children and families as a major responsibility of the position under the supervision of a supervising social worker. (C) At least three semester units in working with minority populations; six months of experience in working with minority populations; or training in cultural competency and working with minority populations within the first six months of employment as a condition of employment. (D) At least three semester units in child welfare, or at least six months of experience in a public or private child welfare social services setting.
