As a Fish and Wildlife Technician Senior (Senior Fish Screening Technician), at the Rogue Watershed Screen Shop in Central Point, Oregon, you will coordinate and implement the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of Fish Screens and Fish Passage structures in Southern Oregon. These duties include:
Fabricate and construct fish screening systems and fish passage devices involving concrete forms, and other associated parts and materials for installation at water diversions
Work with the manager on determining project assignments
Provide technical direction and guidance for water users and private contractors who choose to design, construct, install, operate and maintain their own screening systems and passage devices at water diversions located in Southern Oregon
Negotiate access and use agreements with water users and landowners for fish screen and passage installations
