Job Description

The Strategy Supervisor supports the development of cross-channel media strategy and planning, as well as manages the completion of regularly delivered budget and planning-related reports to the clients. The Supervisor is the connection point across the strategy team, helping to translate strategies to channel plans and managing the maintenance of plans as shifts are made.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a thoughtful decision maker and team player who has the proven ability to help develop strategic planning initiatives including audience development, budget and channel allocation, and deck writing. The candidate should also have experience managing others and can demonstrate the ability to effectively instruct their direct reports on the objective and desired outcome of regular deliverables.  

This is an energetic, collaborative team that partners with an analytics-driven client to provide guidance as they continue to grow and evolve their brand.    

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management and development of Associates and Senior Associate
  • Assume accountability and ownership of regular client deliverables; reviewing for quality, ensuring the product is sound and viable
  • Interface with internal teams to assist in development of strategic planning initiatives including budget and channel allocation, audience development, and deck writing
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and support
  • Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for improving communication and collaboration within the team and the group
  • Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
  • Collaborate and foster relationships with key partners including internal strategy, investment, and analytics teams
  • Support development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas and providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunities
  • Own the development of strategic proposals and client facing POVs, coordinating with necessary teams to account for all relevant inputs

 

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Resourceful, curious, creative problem solver and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising, business, marketing, or equivalent preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in media strategy/planning experience across media channels
    • Strong digital media experience preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong understanding of Excel (pivot tables a plus) and PowerPoint
    • Experience working within media systems/platforms e.g. Clear Decisions, Nielsen Media Impact, GWI, Kantar, comScore
