Description of the Position:
Responsible for receiving deliveries, completing related paperwork, stocking, delivering materials and providing support in the Receiving Department and Warehouse operations. Team Member will work independently under general supervision. This position relies on experience, instructions, pre-established guidelines and good judgment to perform the functions of the job.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

• Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
• Receives and unloads incoming supplies, materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments.
• Responsible for packing, unpacking, sorting, counting, inspecting, storing, delivering and/or logging inventory, equipment, supplies and materials shipped or received.
• Inspects shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor.
• Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
• Maintains a thorough working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies and food commodities stored in the warehouse and delivered to various departments within company.
• Assists in the processing of returns of defective or incorrect merchandise to vendors.
• Provides pertinent information for all shipments sent out for entry into the database.
• Prepares shipments as needed.
• Handles all receiving and shipping functions in accordance with appropriate Valley View Casino & Hotel safety standards.
• Reports missing, damaged, and worn out-out items to supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned by Director, Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience in Receiving/Warehouse and/or related field.
• Completion of Certification for Fork Lift training within 30 days of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a fork lift.
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a guest (customer) and team oriented environment.
• Ability to speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to write and complete receiving and inventory paperwork.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals written in the English language.
• Ability to understand oral and verbal communication while using Valley View Casino & Hotel’s communication tools which include but are not limited to radios, phones, and or email.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to use commonsense understanding to interpret and carry an extensive variety of instructions in written, oral and/or diagram form.
• Must use good judgment when providing information to our guests.
• Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agen
