Role Overview 🧩

As a Senior Full Stack Game Engineer, you'll join artists, designers, producers, and engineers to create standout products. Explore technology, innovate, and invent – your creativity will fuel extraordinary experiences.

Responsibilities 🛠️

• Implement systems and end-to-end features across Unity client and Java backend services.
• Iterate with others, gracefully giving and receiving feedback to deliver high quality experiences.
• Patiently learn other perspectives and share your own.
• Write and maintain simple, readable code.
• Constantly improve the quality and velocity of your work.
• Provide engineering support for live operations.

Requirements 🧠

• 5+ years game development experience, with at least one shipped game using Unity.
• Mastery of your toolset and flexibility to learn ours: IDE, version control, build tools, operational platforms, etc.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns with a contextual understanding of when (and when not) to apply them.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, HTTP, and common approaches to network security.
• Experience with REST API semantics, and hands-on experience writing stateless backend services in server-authoritative contexts.
• A passion for great user experiences and a commitment to quality.
• Independently motivated and able to function effectively given little direction.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly through writing.
• A drive to continually learn and grow.
• Inspirational to others: show us what we're missing and make us excited to fill it in.

Bonus Points 🎁

• Up to date portfolio of relevant work.
• Production experience running servers at scale using Java, .NET, Golang, or Node.
• Docker competence.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and optimization.

Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000 to 180,000

The suggested salary bracket is designed specifically for this open position within the United States. It may not be suitable for other roles or locations. The exact pay will be tailored to factors like the hired individual's experience, their job performance, and the job's location. There is also the possibility for additional bonus pay, but this isn't guaranteed.
