US Remote - PAPerkinElmer is seeking a forward-thinking Associate General Manager to join our Value Creation Office (VCO). This role will play a critical part in advancing operational and commercial execution for one of our key global customers—Merck.
As part of the VCO, the Associate GM will lead and accelerate initiatives that unlock value for both PerkinElmer and Merck by identifying process enhancements, implementing strategic improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous performance transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the PerkinElmer-Merck account leadership, focusing on driving measurable improvements across operational and commercial workflows.
Identify, develop, and execute value-creation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.
Lead cross-site and cross-functional project execution to deliver operational efficiencies, service quality enhancements, and improved commercial outcomes.
Establish and track KPIs and key value realization metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability in initiative delivery.
Support the creation of business cases, project charters, and implementation roadmaps aligned with customer and internal priorities.
Provide governance, communication, and change management support to ensure alignment and adoption across stakeholders.
Champion best practices and continuous improvement methodologies across the OneSource organization serving Merck.
Collaborate with global VCO and functional leaders to share learnings, replicate successes, and standardize scalable solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred.
8–12 years of experience in operational excellence, commercial strategy, business transformation, or program management, preferably within life sciences or healthcare services.
Proven experience working with or within large global accounts, ideally in a customer-facing or strategic delivery role.
Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
Preferred Attributes:
Familiarity with managed lab services, scientific operations, or GxP environments.
Customer-first mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global organization.
