What You Will Do:
As an EH&S Principal Generalist you’ll support the implementation and execution of Environmental, Health and Safety programs at Raytheon customer field and remote locations both domestically and internationally. In this role, you’ll also support employees requiring EH&S regulatory compliance training.
Working globally in both embedded and deployed locations, you’ll apply technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to implement process controls to mitigate EH&S risks. In addition, you’ll use attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal and external groups to improve injury free performance for Raytheon’s deployed workforce.
This position will require domestic and/or international travel, including travel aboard military-owned assets and occasional travel to remote or austere environments.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Proactively ensuring that workplace conditions and employee practices comply with applicable federal, state or local occupational safety and health standards
- Conducting and leading job hazard assessments for standard and non-standard work tasks
- Serving as a technical safety resource supporting engineering reviews of Raytheon/customer facilities, processes, and products
- Providing instructor-led training on various safety topics
- Conducting injury investigations and root cause analyses, developing corrective actions and tracking to completion.
- Periodic safety auditing of customer and internal processes
- Managing accurate preparation & reporting of metrics (including labor charging and timekeeping)
- Development of appropriate work practices and procedures to control risks
- Ability to lift 28 pounds unassisted
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of travel and to work in locations with dynamic weather or temperature extremes
Travel: Up to 25-50% to Raytheon site locations domestically and internationally, including: Europe, Middle East, Far East, Pacific Rim Countries and Africa is possible

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience working with OSHA and/or EPA standards
- Experience working with domestic and/or foreign military or government customers
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Professional certification in safety or related field, (ASP, CSP, CIH, RS, CHMM)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in STEM or related field
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills
- Bi-lingual
- Familiarity operating in and around military environments
- History of working independently and collaboratively
