Title: Area Sales Directory, Pulmonary & GI Western US
Reports to: Chief Sales Officer, Endoscopy – US & Canada
Location: Must reside within the Western US; preferred cities: Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City

We are currently seeking an Area Sales Director for our Pulmonary/GI division. In this role, you will develop sales strategies and manage a team of Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) to achieve set sales goals, targets, and revenue. You will work closely with our US Senior Leadership team and Global Business Intelligence. You will also be responsible for executing assigned corporate goals to grow Ambu into the foremost single use endoscopy leader in Pulmonology and other emerging markets in the US. This position is well suited for an inspirational leader who is motivated to build a winning culture and lead from the front.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Select, develop, and coach a high performing team of professionals to meet or exceed targets of profitable revenue growth

Create an atmosphere of collaboration and trust across teams

Oversee the daily operations of the sales department in specified area

Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

Work in tandem with the CSO, VPs and other ASDs to develop the overall Pulmonology & GI Endoscopy strategy

Achieve and exceed assigned Sales budget each year

Develop comp plans and quotas for RSDs and the sales team in conjunction with the CSO, Sales Operations, and other VPs

Maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large IDNs (Health Networks)

Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to decision-makers at all levels

Coach RSDs to build effective staff/support relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processes

Drive high level teaming and collaboration to gain the committed and motivated efforts of the RSDs and sales team

Participate in sales calls with RSDs to provide feedback, and to assist with large opportunities

Perform field rides with sales representatives on a consistent basis

Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business

Travel a minimum of 60% of the time
Performance Criteria:

Provide consistent performance management of RSDs and help guide them with the performance management of their sales representatives

Provide a consistently high level of service to clients

Maintain complete and accurate communication to RSDs and CSO, at all times

Manage sales region within established expense levels

Ensure 100% accuracy of all documentation submitted to company

Provide timely submission of all required reports

Respond to problems, ideas, and solutions presented, in conjunction with corporate needs and policies

Provide leadership in a manner which does not distract from a positive working atmosphere and relays the commitment of Ambu to the individual

Provide advice and recommendations to assist the RSDs and sales representatives in making sound decisions to ensure the maximum efficient use of all personnel and equipment, based on the needs of the company

Maintain a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with colleagues, supervisors, and their departmental personnel, at all times

Build a performance culture

Ensure compliance with all SOP’s

Provide accurate, legible, and complete processing documentation

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or relevant field
-
(2) years’ experience of leading leaders and/or a minimum of (4) but preferably (6) years of experi
