Accounting Associate - Billing Analyst II

Overview
This position is responsible for analyzing and billing government and/or commercial contracts to ensure they are in accordance with SRI policy and FAR/DFAR clauses. This opportunity is available for fully remote work.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing fixed price billings for manual, milestone and schedule bills
- Process invoice submissions for ALL billings. This includes both email and submission via 3rd party systems.
- Assisting as needed with billing of T&M, CR and CPXX projects
- Assisting with processing of non time sensitive closeouts.
- Submitting invoices according to contractual terms
- Researching and resolving past due invoices
- Assisting with audit requests
- Interacting with external and internal customers to resolve invoicing issues
- Interfacing with various government websites for inquiry and grant drawdowns
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years professional/business experience
- Detail oriented
- Working knowledge of invoicing policies and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to compile, analyze, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial records
- Knowledge of government collection systems a plus
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Deltek’s Costpoint billing module a plus
- Knowledge of SharePoint a plus
- Billing experience a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel knowledge
The salary range is: $45,000 to $48,000/yr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
