Position overview
Key Responsibilities (Essential duties and functions)
- Operate crushing, screening, conveying, and related aggregate processing equipment.
- Start up, monitor, adjust, and shut down crushing plant equipment according to established procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and associated equipment.
- Monitor material flow, product sizing, and production rates to ensure quality specifications are met.Identify equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Coordinate with loaders, haul truck operators, and plant personnel to maintain efficient production.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, housekeeping, belt tracking, and wear-part inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company and MSHA standards.
- Accurately complete production, maintenance, and inspection reports.Follow all company safety policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with plant setup, teardown, and relocation activities when operating portable plants.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating crushing, screening, aggregate processing, mining, or heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Experience in aggregate production, quarry operations, or heavy civil construction strongly preferred.
- MSHA training or ability to obtain required certifications.
Work Requirements:
- Working knowledge of aggregate crushing and screening processes.
- Ability to identify mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, safety procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Driver’s license is preferred.
