Intern: Insurance & Risk Management

EquipmentShare is Hiring an Insurance & Risk Management Intern.

EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the Insurance Team at our Home Office in Columbia, Mo for the 2024 summer.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge in the overall claims process with a focus on workers’ compensation, data entry, insurance verification.
• Establish and maintain working relationships throughout the organization and with external constituents while also providing professional, timely and accurate support. 
• Utilize a general understanding of insurance standards, regulations, and terminology as it relates to workers compensation, rented/leased equipment, property and automobiles.
• Utilize insurance and billing systems knowledge and exhibit the ability to comprehend and communicate Insurance and Risk Management department standards in a manner that is easily understood by internal and external customers. 
• Manage time effectively to ensure turnaround times are within established service standards.
• Work with EquipmentShare team members to complete assigned projects
• Have a driven personality to help out where needed

What You're Working With:

• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Excellent oral communication & writing skills
• Comfortable using Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
• Familiarity with financial concepts and billing applications
• Highly organized, pay attention to details, and able to multitask
• Have a strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
• Enjoy a passionate and thriving work environment
