Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit. Must be capable of independent judgement and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs. Effectively manages all resources assigned to cost centers. Collaborates with the Operations Manager of Family Centered Care to accomplish departmental objectives. Has twenty four (24) hour accountability for assigned area.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

1. B.S. degree in Nursing and a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

2. Good written and oral communication skills.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

1. Master's degree in Nursing.

 

2. Two (2) years clinical experience in labor and delivery.
