In this role as a  Sr Instructional Designer, you will create exceptional learning experiences to drive business results. 
Working across the organization, you will analyze training needs, develop, and implement targeted solutions with quantifiable results. 
This role will require work on a wide range of curriculums and projects, including new-hire orientation, leadership programs, major software rollouts, sales training, compliance training, and manufacturing and Quality initiatives. 
The role requires exceptional project management skills and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts from diverse areas of expertise. 
Note: This is a hybrid role which means that the selected candidate will need to live within a commutable distance to Alameda, CA and be able to work on-site weekly.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities• Facilitate the instructional design process from needs assessment through implementation of training solution• Perform needs assessments through surveys, test data, focus groups, and interviews with employees and leadership. • Develop curriculum and competency maps for new and existing programs• Create courses in ILT, Hybrid and E-Learning formats• Create classroom exercises and activities • Create assessments to measure learning• Develop high-quality multimedia: audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.• Manage multi-course training projects and curriculums• Adhere to digital asset management best practices• Create and facilitate Train-the-Trainer sessions to implement new and updated content• Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design• Mentor and provide guidance to other Instructional Designers• Ensure that all training materials meet QSR compliance requirements• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. * • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures. • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, communications, education, or a related field, with 5+ years of Instructional Design experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience• 5+ years of corporate learning and development or training experience• In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models• Multimedia design skills (Articulate 360, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Audition)• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio segments and video scripts• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously• Basic knowledge of cGMP/QSR requirements
