Job Summary

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) – Multiple SitesContract Period: Base Year + Three Option YearsSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Hourly: 23.00/hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and transportation.
  • Collect and document patient vital signs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
  • Provide emotional support and communication to patients and families.
  • Follow infection control protocols and patient privacy regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification in any U.S. state.
  • Minimum one year of CNA experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.
