Senior Project Designer, Architecture

Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Designer at our Irvine office!
Senior Project Designers are responsible for creating conceptual and schematic designs for architectural projects. Senior Project Designers will present design options, determine and meet client goals and develop client relationships. This role will remain “on-call” throughout the lifecycle of a project to provide design direction to the project team. In addition, Senior Project Designers will be involved in VE, submittal review, consultant coordination and drawing set reviews as it relates to design intent.

Senior Project Designer Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to develop ongoing relationships and determine clients’ project goals.
• Responsible for developing design options for both site and buildings.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and direct junior staff in correctly documenting design.
• Follow projects from inception through construction in order to maintain design quality and intent.
• Coordinate Interior Design team for spec buildings in order to provide cohesive design.
• Understand Work plan/budget for projects and be able to meet the expectations for hours and deliverable. 

Senior Project Designer Qualifications:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Commercial Architecture Design is preferred.
• Licensed Architect is preferred.
• Basic computer, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Adobe Suite and SketchUp experience is essential.
• Revit and AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• Ability to create complete design presentation package is essential.
• Knowledge of key parameters of various product types for both site design and building design is essential.
