Position Information:

NWHSU is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity in our Herbal Dispensary as an Herbal Lab Supervisor & Assistant. This position involves supervising the intake of herbal prescriptions, leading and training clinic interns, and overseeing other dispensary processes such as inventory management, use of compounding pharmacy software, finalizing herbal prescription orders and more. This is a great opportunity to utilize your herbal knowledge and apply leadership skills in an herbal dispensary setting. The ideal candidate has exemplary customer service skills to assist clinic patients with prescription questions and represent the herbal dispensary for student tours and university events.

This is a part time, non-benefits eligible position, working 10-12 hours per week.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person

Duties:

• Supervise clinic interns in preparing, mixing, and labeling the custom formula as prescribed in clinic
• Supervise filling of herbal prescriptions from clinical supervisors, interns, classroom content, club meetings, and program or school events.
• Monitor inventory and order new products as needed
• Enter herbal prescriptions into the compounding computer system
• Perform student assessments
• Participate in school events representing the herbal dispensary
• Train students in all areas of the dispensary

What you need to have?

• Master's degree with Herbal NCCAOM board certification or Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
• Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of MN
• 1-3 years experience in an herbal dispensary or related field
