We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Senior Environmental Project Professional specializing in site assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance to join our team in the Boston, MA office. The Senior Environmental Project Professional will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects largely in urban environments with a focus on MCP compliance, environmental due diligence, and contaminated site management. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged and grow professionally. Essential Functions – What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and perform environmental field investigation programs including Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation system monitoring.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze field and laboratory data for contaminated site characterization.
  • Prepare technical reports, remedial action plans, regulatory compliance documentation, and cost estimates.
  • Formulate preliminary conclusions, recommendations, and strategies to address environmental site issues in the context of site development plans.
  • Observe and document complex construction activities that also involve environmental remediation activities.
  • Work directly with Licensed Site Professionals on routine and complex Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) sites.
  • Assist with project management tasks, including developing proposals, budgets and attending project meetings.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related industry and possess a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar relevant education.
  • Having or working toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and technical understanding is required.
  • Experience with collecting soil, groundwater, soil vapor and/or indoor air data on sites subject to regulation under the MCP and Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
  • Experience performing environmental due diligence research, including preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM E1527-21.
  • Experience preparing MCP and TSCA report deliverables.
  • Prior experience preparing MCP risk assessments and with contaminated soil management is a plus.
