We are seeking a seasoned Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Manager to join their dynamic team in Terre Haute, IN.


The ASC Nurse Manager oversees the administration and clinical operations at the facility, providing both managerial leadership and direct clinical support as needed. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of individualized nursing care in alignment with established nursing processes and company protocols. Additionally, the role involves facilitating professional staff meetings, maintaining regulatory compliance, evaluating program effectiveness, and managing resources to optimize patient care while controlling costs.


Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate professional staff meetings, including agenda preparation, data gathering, and minutes preparation.
  • Review, revise, and update Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and manage interactions with review agencies.
  • Evaluate programs and patient care activities to maintain high standards.
  • Establish and maintain nursing care standards in accordance with professional guidelines and operating room procedures.
  • Implement cost-effective measures while safeguarding patient care quality.
  • Ensure understanding and implementation of nursing policies and procedures among staff.
  • Provide necessary resources for staff education and development.
  • Supervise the collection of required records and reports.
  • Manage staff scheduling and time off requests.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout their care journey.
  • Assist in patient positioning for comfort and safety.
  • Conduct skilled nursing assessments, treatment planning, and interventions for all patients.
  • Prepare operating rooms for procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Maintain strict standards of asepsis and monitor equipment functionality.
  • Handle instruments and supplies during operations, ensuring proper delivery to surgeons.
  • Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocols.
  • Collect, interpret, document, and communicate patient information in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Administer medications, apply dressings, and monitor vital signs as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.

  • Current state registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Must have recent direct patient care experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant RN experience in a surgical setting or operating room.
  • Prior management experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing the Administration and Clinical operations of a surgical center.
  • Proficiency in independent decision-making and problem-solving, capable of applying general principles to specific issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, consistently driving departmental enhancements, and actively engaging in committee and task force initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team setting and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and analytical skills, with the capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Skillful in multitasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Exhibits cooperative and professional conduct towards patients, colleagues, healthcare providers, management, and visitors alike.
