Your Responsibilities
As a Engineer Product II - Embedded Software for John Deere in Ankeny, IA, you will:
- Plan, coordinate, perform product testing and/or analysis work for complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or a subsystem of a major and diverse project;
- Operate in a team environment, apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to provide economies through standardization of test processes;
- Develop test plans and/or execute test plans for product verification and validation;
- Provide technical support to marketing, and manufacturing organizations;
- Execute high level applications to more complex problems;
- Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for complex problems or projects of moderate scope;
- Embedded System Debugging;
- Hardware in Loop embedded test environment creation.
- Up to 20% international and domestic travel required. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% remote work allowed.
What Skills You Need
- 3 years of experience in plan, coordinate, perform product testing and analysis work for complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or a subsystem of a major and diverse project
- 3 years of experience in proficiency in software test methodologies involves understanding various test environments such as Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL), and applying a range of testing techniques to ensure comprehensive and effective testing
- 3 years of experience in apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to provide economies through standardization of project planning, design and test processes
- 3 years of experience conducting embedded System testing and debugging
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Agricultural Technology or related field plus 3 years related experience.
