Receptionist - Full Time

<h2><b>Employment Type:</b></h2>Full time<h2><b>Shift:</b></h2>Day Shift<p></p><h1><b>Description:</b></h1><p><b>Job Title:</b></p><p>Clinic Receptionist</p><p></p><p><b>Job Description Summary:</b></p><p>The Receptionist greets and welcomes patients and visitors to <span>the clinic, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills</span> and a professional demeanor. They are responsible for <span>managing the front</span> desk responsibilities including maintaining patient <span>flow; scheduling</span> <span>appointments; appropriately</span> handling phone <span>calls; validating</span> insurance <span>eligibility; entering</span> demographics, insurance, and other pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record and other various systems; and determining and collecting time of service payments and/or past due balances at the time of appointment. </p><p></p><p><b>Hours:</b></p><p>Full Time</p><p>40 hours/week</p><p></p><p><b>Job Duties:</b></p><ul><li><p>Knows, understands, incorporates, <span>and demonstrates the</span> Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and <span>decisions.  </span></p></li><li><p><span>Performs patient</span> check-in at the time of visit and completes <span>all steps necessary</span> to ensure the admitting process is efficient and in compliance with all clinic and regulatory policies. </p></li><li><p>Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately. </p></li><li><p>Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.</p></li><li><p><span>Obtain accurate patient</span> and insurance information, collecting copays (TOS) and deductible amounts. </p></li><li><p>Copy/scan patient access related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.  </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>General Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or <span>equivalent required. </span></p></li><li><p>Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.</p></li><li><p>Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire. </p></li><li><p>Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patient, visitors, and colleagues while performing their job duties.</p></li><li><p><span>Must maintain a</span> high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information. </p></li><li><p><span>Must possess a</span> personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health. </p></li></ul><p></p><p>Colleagues <span>of MercyOne Health</span> System enjoy competitive compensation with a full benefits package and opportunity for growth throughout the system! </p><p></p><p>Visit <a href="https://www.mercyone.org/careers/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><u>MercyOne Careers</u></a> to learn more about the benefits, culture, and career development opportunities available to you <span>at MercyOne Health</span> <span>System’s circle of care. </span></p><p></p><p><b>Our Commitment </b></p><p></p><p><span>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
