About the position

We are looking for a Junior Supplier Response Team Specialist who will be dedicated to solving escalations to supplier, crisis reaction and resolution, risk monitoring and prevention, and reporting to the Global Supplier Response Manager.

The main objectives are to perform the procedures provided by Kongsberg’s Instruction for Supplier Escalation Process and directives from the Global Supplier Response Manager, including reaction to supply disruptions as well as risk monitoring and prevention to avoid or minimize line stops at Kongsberg and its customers. This role has an opportunity to cooperate with KA's Operations, Logistics, Projects, Quality, Sales, Aftermarket among others.

This position will be based in Hallbergmoos/Germany, Gothenburg/Sweden or Warsaw/Poland.

Responsibilities

• Escalation Responsibility / Offload fully the category team by owning the supplier crisis
• Being a first line of contact for KA logistics, when delivery confirmations are not in line with the customer demands
• Handle supplier distress and disruption situations
• Validate volume decommitments from suppliers and conduct root cause analysis
• Request Risk Assessment and evaluate Corrective Action Plans, including Contingency/Mitigation Plans from suppliers
• Analyze and search for alternative suppliers/materials, considering price and delivery time
• Visit escalated suppliers or alternative sources when necessary
• Conduct visits to suppliers for critical capacity increases, bottleneck investigations, and risk assessments
• Review relevant risk indicators/areas in RiskMethods for new suppliers and those with new business, providing feedback and reports
• Providing data and reports for the Purchasing team when required

Requirements

• First experience within the manufacturing industry
• Experience in logistics planning, tools and manufacturing engineering
• Fundamentals of Crisis or Risk Management desirable
• Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Production Engineering or similar 
• Computer skills including MS Office
• SAP knowledge desirable
• Business fluent in English
• Great sense of urgency, pragmatism, and of ownership of the crisis
• Can-do attitude and resilient
• Systematic and data-driven mindset
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Flexibility and willingness to travel in Europe
