Wieland is hiring a Supply Chain and Customer Service Specialist. The Supply Chain and Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for providing superior service to suppliers and customers through effective and proactive communication, accurate execution of the purchasing and customer order process, and professional administrative support for the timely and accurate processing of all metal purchasing, metal receiving, production, sales, and invoicing transactions.  The high-value material requires a person that is detailed-oriented, organized and analytical to ensure accurate transactions throughout all supply chain and commercial processes. This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site. 

Responsibilities

Supply Chain and Customer Service Responsibilities:

• This role will be the business process expert for purchase order, sales order, receiving, customer fulfillment, and invoicing for the site.
• Directly service customer and supplier accounts, focusing on customer and supplier needs, transactional accuracy, proactive communication, and contractual business relationships. All efforts are intended to provide the highest level of service to customer, while respecting and working within the guidelines of the business (i.e. lead times, capacity, etc.).
• Ensure accurate receipt of all raw materials, including weights, and development of settlement statements (invoices) for all received material working directly with plant personnel.
• Manage complaints and escalations, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Work collaboratively with the supply chain, quality, logistics, sales and marketing, and finance teams to support the entire order-to-cash process.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays or changes in order status.
• Work closely with sales and finance with pricing/metal fixations of materials.
• The role will support, backup and help develop other areas of the business.
• Support receiving and scheduling processes for mills/foundries.

Supply Chain and Customer Service Qualifications:

• B.S. degree preferred, or three to five years of experience in administrative, accounting or clerical roles for a manufacturing company.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with a strong capacity to independently execute tasks and resolve issues.
• Strong business understanding.
• Excellent computer system skills, including using a comprehensive ERP (such as SAP).
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment and to work across functions within and outside the organization.
• Proficiency working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), preferred.
