6. Your Role as the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
As a part-time COTA, you will support residents in improving independence, safety, and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
· Implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
· Delivering skilled interventions focused on ADLs, functional mobility, and engagement
· Supporting residents across the continuum of care
· Collaborating with Occupational Therapists and the interdisciplinary team
· Communicating patient progress and contributing to care planning
· Maintaining clear and accurate documentation
· Supporting continuity of care through teamwork and consistency
