Senior Director, Visium HD Program Management (P-3566)

10x Genomics is seeking a Senior Director, Visium HD Program Management that will head the manufacturing integration activities, overall project management, and strategic program leadership across all Visium HD products for the global Operations and Manufacturing. This role will report into the SVP, Operations and will be based in our headquarters in Pleasanton, California.

The leader will be responsible for delivering a production-worthy process to global manufacturing operations at the time and target budget.  Working cross-functionally, the candidate will coordinate technical, financial and operational goals of the program to ensure smooth transfer of process technology.  The leader will assume the role of program manager of the integration of all company activities of the acquired technology, manufacturing sites and supporting infrastructure (IT, site transfer, standard costing, etc.).   

In this role, the individual must be a self-starter, strategic thinker, action and output driven, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, manage and build high functioning teams, and succeed in communicating with all levels within the organization and within customer institutions. 

Qualified candidates must have relevant knowledge and experience in semiconductor technology, life sciences, diagnostics and serviced markets. A high level of communication skills is required to ensure seamless interaction across the multifunction teams at 10x Genomics. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and driven in implementing and managing world class quality processes that align with and propel business success.

 

What you will be doing: 

• Managing an end-to-end integration of an acquired company/technology

• Guild the transfer of new, leading-edge technology from ideation to production

• Ensure schedule and cost targets are met, escalations are timely for gaps

• Scaling supply chain with suppliers

• Scaling internal manufacturing operations

• Developing yield management solutions

• Identifying new suppliers, technologies and processes needed to ensure high yield and low cost

• Coordinating activities across manufacturing sites

• Coordinating activities with design and process engineering

• Modeling supply and demand, ensuring product availability

• Working closely with our IT, Finance and EHS groups, ensure that product can be scaled successfully and safely

• Ensuring schedule consistency across multiple disciplines

 

Minimum Requirements: 

 

• PhD/MS degree in a relevant scientific field or MBA with 10 years of industrial experience in the life sciences or the equivalent

• Relevant knowledge in semiconductor technology, life sciences, diagnostics and serviced markets

• Have a deep understanding of complex manufacturing processes and technology, preferably in semiconductor, micro-arrays and life sciences

• Strong project management and executive leadership skills

• Subject matter expertise in semiconductor processes, chemistry, and complex manufacturing equipment

• Influence internally and externally and have the skills to navigate and be successful in a matrixed organization

• Financial and business process engineering experience

• Ability to partner with scientists and engineers on the development of process, metrology and yield management systems

• Strong and effective leadership experience with the passion to inspire, motivate, coach, and nurture a team.  Attract, retain, and develop talent.

• Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills

• Must be willing to travel both domestically and globally up to 25% of the time.

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.
