This is a full-time on-site position located in Woodland, WA. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 7 paid holidays (after 90 days of service), and generous PTO accruals from day one!  

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Follow all Portco procedures, including but not limited to: Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Safe Quality Food (SQF)
•  Act as secondary SQF Practitioner when Primary is not on-site 
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Inspect, test, and record Raw Materials, Work In Process (WIP), and Finished Goods
• Perform process checks throughout the production process, ensuring that product integrity meets specification
• Maintain Calibration Program for equipment
• Monitor Hazardous Waste program
• Ongoing training of employees regarding QA, GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and Regulatory Requirements 

Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make presentations, facilitate meetings, probe for root cause, and provide training to various groups within the organization
• Strong understanding of current SQF code, preferably Food Packaging Material 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
• Proficient mathematical skills
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and problem solving ability 
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects 
• Able to detect minute visual differences (color, etc.)

Education and Experience: 

• 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• HACCP certified, or willing to obtain training and certification
• SQF certified, or willing to obtain training and certification
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
