Job Summary:

Be part of a cutting-edge neonatal program delivering life-saving care to the smallest patients. As the Middle Tennessee Regional Perinatal Center, our level IV NICU includes 131 beds and growing. We provide care for over 1500 critically ill and premature newborns annually either born here in Nashville or transferred to us from across the state of Tennessee and surrounding area. We are seeking a strong, experienced nurse leader to oversee our Cardiac and Complex surgical unit, a highly specialized 44-bed unit and lead neonatal vascular access and PICC services across the children’s hospital.


The Patient Care Services Manager is a leadership role that has comprehensive operational authority and responsibility for designated clinical areas. This leader is responsible for driving excellence across quality, safety, patient experience, staff engagement, and financial performance. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to fiscal accountability, maintaining quality and regulatory standards, maintaining a high level of patient/family centered care and service, patient and staff satisfaction, program development, managing and developing teams, and ensuring integration with the clinical enterprise.

Unit Summary:
The Cardiac and Complex Surgical Unit is a 44-bed specialty unit within neonatal services that cares for critically ill and medically complex neonates. Patient populations include those needing ECMO or those with cardiac, neurological, renal, genetic conditions, prematurity, and other complex diagnoses. Additionally, this position leads the Neonatal Vascular Access and PICC team supporting neonatal PICC services across the hospital.

Qualifications: Active and unrestricted RN license. MSN or MHA or above required. 3-5 years progressive leadership experience required. Previous leadership experience in neonatal intensive care preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates to operationalize the mission, strategic plan, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies for the PCC, Hospitals and Vanderbilt Clinic.
  • Prepares annual operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.
  • Develops and monitors the implementation of area specific quality plan linked to organizational goals.
