We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and driven Senior Manager of Information Assurance to guide our organization’s capabilities in cybersecurity and ensure compliance and excellence across our federal and DoD/DoW programs.
Position Summary
ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Manager of Information Assurance with a demonstrated track record of leadership in building and managing high-performing IA and cybersecurity teams within federal, DoD, and DoW environments. This individual will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, supporting enterprise-wide security strategy, business development, and program execution. This role requires both technical expertise and strategic insight to lead the design, implementation, and compliance of secure IT environments. The successful candidate will shape ASRC Federal’s future offerings in cybersecurity while ensuring alignment with emerging federal standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Compliance Develop and maintain enterprise Information Security Plans aligned with NIST 800-53 in support of CMMC and FedRAMP certifications. Lead organizational efforts to maintain compliance with NIST 800-171, 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements. Create and manage a strategic cybersecurity roadmap, aligning with corporate objectives and evolving government requirements.
Technical Expertise Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the architecture, design, deployment, and support of secure IT and cyber environments for both internal and customer-facing systems. Oversee internal assessments, risk analysis, and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Business Development Partner with capture and proposal teams to shape cyber and IA strategies for new business opportunities. Define cybersecurity requirements, project scope, level of effort, and schedules to increase proposal win rates. Represent ASRC Federal in customer engagements, helping to shape requirements and influence acquisition strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level customers, internal stakeholders, industry partners, and vendors. Act as a trusted advisor to program managers and technical teams, ensuring IA considerations are embedded throughout the solution lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance within the federal, DoD, or DoW sectors. Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and leading enterprise IA programs. Deep knowledge of NIST frameworks (800-53, 800-171), FISMA, FedRAMP, and CMMC compliance standards. Experience with developing and maintaining enterprise Information Security Plans. Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture and secure systems design principles. Ability to engage effectively with executive stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives. Experience supporting business development and proposal efforts from a cybersecurity/IA perspective. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or PMP preferred.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as an ISSM/ISSO supporting FedRAMP or classified environments. Working knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework), cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture. Experience interfacing with the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and understanding of DFARS cyber clauses. Demonstrated experience cultivating customer and partner relationships in the federal space.
