Description
The HR Generalist will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The position entails handling various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management. This person will serve as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring HR best practices and company policies are followed.
Requirements
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution. Facilitate communication between employees and management.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, candidate selection, background checks, and employee onboarding.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs. Assist employees with benefits-related questions.
- Performance Management: Support performance review processes and assist managers in setting goals, evaluating performance, and creating development plans for employees.
- Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensure HR practices are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist in updating and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs. Facilitate workshops and training sessions as necessary.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee data.
- HR Data & Reporting: Maintain employee records and generate reports related to HR metrics, such as turnover, headcount, and employee satisfaction.
- Workplace Safety: Promote workplace health and safety initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant certification is a plus.
